Hi folks,
Selling off my baby and hanging up my pucks for good this time to save money to invest for future. My wife has finally convinced me that if I would like to retire someday our burn rate for tires and parts for this monster needs to be stopped. Here's the skinny on the bike; built the bike from the ground up after a street rider slide the thing down the road with 400 miles. Bike was stripped to the frame and everything inspected, drilled, wired and meticulously prepared. Never down since complete rebuild. The title is PA Salvage which was probably a mistake since the bike wasn't that bad initially; I have the pictures before the bike was reassembled if needed.

3818 miles; oil changed every 500mi with Mobil1 MX4T only.

Parts list;

Ohlins rear shock with 2 extra springs; 90 on bike, 95 and 100kg spare.
Lindemann Engineering revalved forks with 1.0kg springs. Dampner rods have bottom supression and anodized black.
Ohlins Steering damper
520 Conversion AFAM Sprockets with 44T,45T,46T and 43T. 16 and 17T front and DID Gold ERV3 Chain.
SharkSkinz Body work custom painted to simulate stock grey paint scheme for 2005.
Gilles Rearsets with carbon heel protectors.
Yoshiumra World Superbike pipe (Rare) full Ti Exhaust with Carbon Silencer. Silencer has 52 MM core.
Goodridge Carbon Look Stainless Brake lines front and rear.
Graves front fairing stay.
Graves Clip-ons.
DynoJet PC3USB mapped for pump gas. Dynojet dyno'd at 152.5hp on 93 Octane pump gas.
Vesrah SRJ Front brake pads.
Brembo 19x20 master cylinder.
Graves smog block off plates.
Carbon Fiber front and rear fenders.
New front brake rotors on bike used twice.
Spare set of wheels with Dunlop New Generation Rains with brand new stock rotors. Add $700 for wheels, tires and rotors.
BMC air filter
Brand New OEM Suzuki clutch in package, plus other misc parts.
Updated clutch washer to stop the clutch from the annoying grabbing BS these bikes are know for.
WoodCraft Case Guards for Alternator and Idler Gear in black with red slider on gen.
R1 1/4 turn throttle tube.
Cox Radiator Screens for oil cooler and radiator.

Pictures are included; bike was used for track days and never raced in competition. Inspected and cleaned everytime it was ridden. Plenty fast and strong and handles excellent. An old guy (me 42) can turn 1:32 at Mid-O on this bike this past summer so a younger guy could get into the 20's with some VP MR9 rocket fuel and a new map. Race gas has never been used with this bike, tires were more important! Everything is ready to go; no disappointments with this bike. Asking $10,000 for the bike; spare wheels are extra as specified above. Will not part out this bike sorry. Any questions about the bike contact me at eric.stephens@vwcredit.com for more pics or details. This is a rock'n bike for someone to own; it's taken me 5 days of worrying about what I'm going to do without it.

Other items including my riding gear and enclosed trailer will be sold once the bike has left the garage. As with all my toys the bike lived in a heated garage for the past two winters and only ridden in the rain once.

Oh yeah, you can contact me on my cell phone if interested at 248 797 0321 or 810 441 5819. Buyer must pick up or arrange shipping if needed.

Shame Eric... It's going to be a bummer w/o you out there!

Guys who are interested - let me just say that if you are looking for a professionally built and maintained race bike, this is it. This bike doesn't even look like it has been on the track. I've been after him to sell it to me for the last two seasons.

It's a beautiful bike and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks Bro,
Tough decision to sell this bike; we need to get our finances in shape. We rode the bike maybe 10 times this year and spent around $5K with tires, travel and rooms.

It's a boat load of fun riding and hanging out, I'll miss not being at the track riding and relegated to spectator. It's just too damn expensive at my age with minmal savings. Like everyone else our 401K took a shot that opened our eyes. Be cool...........thanks for the plug.

Any takers at $10K with the spare wheels and rain tires thrown in? $9,300 for the bike and $700 for the wheels and tires? Spare wheels have brand new OEM Suzuki rotors never used and the tires have maybe 10 laps after the AMA national this year from Road America.

First person that sees this bike will probably buy it; no mud or glued together crap or shitty paintwork. Straight bike in flawless condition.

The mileage on this bike is much less than 3800 since the gearing was shortened up substaintially from stock. Actual mileage is probably closer to 2,000 or 2,500.

Thanks I spent a whole winter on the bike getting it ready. Anyone who has bought bikes off me before can attest my stuff is usually well maintained and cared for and never thrown together.

Most of the bolts were drilled on each side and done in a press; a lot of guys drill the bolts out on the bike or only put on safety wire hole in each nut or bolt head. Not me I drill all the sides.

Bump to the top. Seriously an awesome bike for someone. 50% of the use on this bike was used to coach other riders during STT events. Track ridden only at maybe 80% of it's potential. There are other parts on this bike that are top notch that were not listed. We've invested over $19k in this bike and it shows. No oil or water leaks, no engine noise with everything clean and ready to ride. Fresh oil change under 200 miles. Nothing stripped or rounded since it wasn't used as a race bike. I did spend 2 summers dialing in the suspension for my weight and it handles like it is on rails.

Motor is plenty strong stock with the map and pipe; add the new race fuels with a new map and highside yourself to the moon! :D

Give me a call at your convenience at 248 797 0321 and we'll talk. My wife is behind this whole scheme and it pains me to even think about selling this bike. Next summer I'll be sorry and mad at myself for letting her get the best of me. She did manage to get me away from racing for good in 2001. :wow:

Bump for another #86

Have you used a 19x18 master also? If so, how do you like the 19x20? I need a new master and might have to do the 19x20 route...

Thanks,
The last part of the 19X(18,20) is the degree of lever bend. I like the 20 since I prefer the brakes to have a firmer bite initially. Go with the 18 if you prefer a softer initial bite and more progressive braking.

Over the stock m/c there is no comparison. The Brembo is much more consistent and powerful. I wouldn't ride this bike without it. So it is a matter of preference, I like very firm brake lever. Hope this helps.

$9,000 anyone? This bike is flawless and EVERYTHING is wired and ready to go. If you want a race prepped 1000 this is the one. Low miles, clean and race ready.

I built this bike and used only the best parts available; no disappointments whatsoever.

All WERA required bolts wired and even were some not required. I'm very particular with my toys; they are cleaned everytime they get ridden and stored in a heated garage.

Awesome bike for someone built by an EX AMA Pro 250 rider.

ZeitGeist Addendum; watch and learn.

Damn, everyone is broke and my price is too high I guess I'll keep it and run over zombies during the encroaching shit storm caused by those greedy central bankers. :D

roadracer86

New Year bump; reasonable offers considered. Can remove parts to reduce price if needed.

Can replace the rear shock w/stocker and drop price to $8200; take off the Ohlins Steering damper and drop another $200, take of Gilles rearsets and drop another $300; you get the picture.

I'm flexible with the spare wheels and bike pricing. I have stands, tire warmers and other stuff with little use if interested. We can do a package deal or a basic deal with parts, stands, spares etc. Other pics available on request.

ttt.
$8,000 firm. This is an awesome bike for this price. I have other items I didn't list that go with this bike such as extra fork legs, shop manual, radiator hoses, sprocket carriers etc.

I took the time to add up my costs to build this bike without consumable items such as tires, brakes, oil etc it is over $17,000. I spared no expense assembling this bike with 90 degree black Ariete aluminum tire valves along with other items that were not listed with the original ad.

Might consider trades as well for street bike of similar value if your interested in getting on the track and you don't want to sell something and then buy another bike.

I might consider tracks of non street bike related items etc. Let me know what you might want to trade.

you have a very nice clean bike with tons of goodies but the fact is, its a salvage title bike and 4 years old! i would bet if you dropped it 1500 to 2000 it would sell quick.

Huh?
Go buy a salvage 05 GSXR 1000 for $3K that still starts, runs and rolls and see if you can build a similar bike with an extra five grand. The WSK Yosh pipe was $2200, the shock $1,000 paint and body work $2,000, fork revalve $800, rearsets $400 chain, sprockets, upper instrament cage, clip-ons and other pieces and parts and your well over $8 G's.

Sorry I've bought and sold a few bikes in my time and this thing is well worth what I'm asking.

I bought a 04 cbr 1000 last year with a CLEAN title for 8000! fully loaded to the hill with all the goodies. Do you think the guy i bought my bike thought it wasnt worth more?? Im not trying to get into a pissing match with you,...good luck on your sale!

That's a smoking deal if you got all of stuff and the bike for $8 g's. The difference I presume was your seller was desperate to sell and I'm not. As I mentioned earlier I'll keep it before I'll give it away. It cost nothing to sit in the garage.

Now, go thread jack someone else's ad and lay off mine. :D

Thanks for the plug! I've built about 8 race bikes over the last 14 years; mostly 250GP bikes though. Two 600's and this GSXR, the rest were TZ's and Honda RS's.

There's nothing like floating the front tire on one of these big bores at 130 mph! Next to the 250GP bikes this the next best bike I've owned for the track. Plenty of power and very progessive; power is very smooth and deceiving. This one likes rear tires though!

TTT still for sale.

roadracer86

$6500 without Ohlins rear shock, Ohlins dampner and fairings removed. Wanna go cheaper? I'll take the Gilles rearsets off and I'll drop the price to $6200. Take off the Graves Clipons and fairing cage, Ohlins shock, dampner, fairings and rearsets the price drops to $5900.

What'll you get for $5900 is a solid build platform with everything wired and drilled. Rolling glider with wheels, motor, revalved forks, Yoshimura Full Ti Carbon prototype system bought new from Mark Oatley, PCIIIUSB with custom maps. Straight wheels and motor with the Woodcraft engine covers.

I can work any combination of deals to sell this bike or even consider trades.
