What's the point of covering the plate? You ride around and people see it all the time, what's someone going to do with the number?

I always assumed it was the find it and steal it mentality associated with blacked out plates

I suppose, but that seems like a lot of hassle for a thief when they could just drive down the road and follow someone home to find out where they live. Or cruise thru some apartment complexes at night.

there's no reason to. bike's not where the plate is registered to, but there sure is a lot of fire power at that address :)

custom vortex set up... on stock suspension I was dragging the shifter in stock location. I wanted it to pivot from the peg.
