I’m selling my racebike so I can move into another class.

It’s going to make a really nice turn key package for someone looking for a fully-sorted Ducati track bike.

It’s a 2003 749s with all the right goodies on it. I’ve owned it for two years and have worked hard to make it into what it is.

Motor is stock with a Termi half system and the corresponding ECU and filter.
GP Suspension internals in the forks.
Ohlins shock with GP Suspension valves and a Hyperco spring.
27mm offset Ducshop triples.
Ohlins steering dampner.
Brembo forged radial brake master with short lever.
Brembo billet radial clutch master.
Yoyodyne clutch slave.
Yoyodyne quick throttle.
STM slipper clutch.
Sato rearsets.
CFM Woodcraft clip ons.
Sharkskins bodywork with a Puig screen.
Ducati Performance fairing stay.
Driven gearing and 520 chain.
Paulimoto clutch cover.
Fully safety wired.
A late model swingarm not yet installed.
Factory shop manual.
Stock exhaust (a must if you want to ride Laguna – and you do.
Probably some other stuff.

I bought the bike from a racer on the East Coast. He promised me it had never been down. After two years of working on this bike, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t so much true. There was evidence of a few get-offs but after owning it for so long, I’ve corrected all the stuff that needed correcting.

I’ve laid it down once and fixed what needed fixing with the exception of the bodywork and the clutch cover. There’s rash but it’s a race bike – it lends character.

As you’d expect, there’s been obsessive valve checks and oil changes. All work has been done by West Cost GP Cycles (www.westcoastgpcycles.com).

As a testimony for the bike’s condition and reliability, I raced the Heavyweight Novice race at Willow Springs last month. After the cool-down lap, I pulled into the hot pit lane and handed the bike to Andy Palmer who promptly won the Middleweight Twins race on it.

$8500 gets you this bike, fully-serviced, ready to go wearing brand-new Pirellis and delivered to Willow on a race weekend. We can also work out my bringing it to you on another weekend.

Cheers.

Bike's still available. Still at the shop (hours and directions on their site).

I'm building an SV to go racing with all my friends in that class. Last place I want to be in on a grid with Brant Wiwi and Michael Beck in 650 Superbike.

Not bad for a Ducati. Just the little dents in one side but besides that looks good.

Her left side is her good side.

Seriously, its only superficial damage to the bodywork and some scrapes on the clutch cover (why to people run skimpy little clutch covers?). I kept the bodywork since it still passed tech.
