Nothing turns off a seller quicker.
Is the $500 or $1000 going to break you financially? Have some respect and at least see the bike in person.
If I were teh seller Id make your special price $8500 and let you negotiate down.

Sorry guys I would like to sell the bike not give it away. If I can;t sell it I will just wait until next riding season. No biggy for me. But I can trade it in here are a dealership (or sell it outright to them) for more than $4500

I am not a tire kicker!!!! I am in the sandbox and cant look at the bike so commomn sense tells you to ask many question as you feel is neccessary. Also OBO stands for OR BEST OFFER, would you pay full price for anything if you could save some money?????
And last but not least a RC-51 buyer is a certain kind of bike buyer. They dont sell well, in Ga Dealers still had new bike from 04, 05 and 06. I told the seller I was no longer interested but that was thru a pm.

Constructively, make sure you visit RC51.org and Speedzilla for a long list of used RCs. Realizing your time on a PC is limited in your current environ, I'd be more than happy to fwd links of likely bikes in the price range you suggest to save you time.
And also: the BBS has a certain protocol about it, and when the boundaries are exceeded, feathers are usually ruffled on new-comers. No offense intended. Say safe, finish your tour, and get home and buy the bike of your dreams!

well said, also great looking bike, these are bringing around 5500 to 6400 down here in florida, and the seller is giving this bike away for the price he is asking with the miles and pipe, I did see one last week go for 6900.00 with 22,000 miles on it

Seller nice bike, and that is a great price, I should know I buy close to 30 bikes a month.

GOOD LUCK with the sale and dont budge to much

Damn, if you could assist in any way with delivery/shipping, I would also be very interested in the bike. I have never been on an RC, but have always wanted to try one. If you have ridden R1's or something similar, could you let me know a little bit about the main differences in the RC? Are they a lot heavier than the the normal japanese liter bikes? Thanks.

i sold my 03 rc with 18.5 k miles for 7800.that was early last year though. the guy didnt even try to wheel and deal. when he saw the bike in person his face reminded me of what i felt like on the inside when i first saw boobies
