Yes, the bike had frame damage from a previous low side, Title is clean, but again there are rock/debri marks where the bike slide across on the right hand side scratching up the frame and right side engine cover.
I drove from Florida to North carolina to find this out.....

The picture of the right side needs to be retaken, in the sun. The shade does a very good job of hiding them(easy on a black frame in shade). There are alot of various marks on the bike that need a close up to be seen. It's a good deal if your willing to polish out a black frame i guess. Seing as the bike went down twice on both sides, one time the frame contacting the gravel, i know the reliability of the welds on a gsxr 1000 frame, i didn't want to take the chance....
Brian, i'm sorry bro, but you told me you were going to update this thread or atleast let people know the deal with the frame. So i went ahead and did it for you, i dont want anyone to make the same mistake twice.

Ok, Lets clear the air. I will address each question....
Why has no picked the bike up already? Well there has been only 2 people to physcially come look at the bike. The first guy clearly didnt have the entire amount and thought he was coming to bargain me down. So he was sadly mistaken when I said NO to all offers other than the listed price of 5500.00. He also only lived only 30 mins. away so it was a convienence to come see the bike and try to bargain. The second guy is the gentleman listed above....Now the fun begins....sit back and listen to this:Pop:
First I have to say CONSIDER your source WERA Join date: June2008 POST:4
I have been a member since March 2006 and purchased and sold several things on this board. I am not here to cheat anyone. This actually all seems like a big joke to me, somebody please wake me.....
This guy travels all the way from Florida to tell me I have a totaled bike. He rides the bike and says "nice ride, feels good but its totaled"...:wow: Imagine the shock. He said if there are any scratches on the frame 1 or 100, then the bike is considerd totaled. NOT Guages, Divets,.....scratches! The equivalent of a disgruntal girlfriend taking a key and scratching up your frame. I must say that he is technically right, if you are an Insurance Adjuster from Hell :) .The bike can be insured no problem but the "structural integrity" is now compromised... Come on, a scratch could turn into rust, which could eat through and form a whole in the frame.....Again he is techincally right, it would just take 75 years of exposure to Artic weather, but he is right. If thats the case then All fellow races and bike riders your bike is technically totaled. This rule would undoubtably apply to 90% of the bikes on this forum. If you polish your frame= Totaled, if you ever remove your engine for rebuild purposes and not torque it to SUZUKI specs with a digital torque wrench= Totaled. Oh almost forgot, for all you drag racers...stretching the swingarm= Totaled. He said "he would feel unsafe". Understood completely! But dont go to the WERA board and say that I have "the bike had frame damage" as if I am selling a salvaged bike.
Honestly i think the hope was that I would go down on the price I offered him prior to coming up of 5100.00 because he was driving from FL. I thought I was being a nice guy buy dropping the price 400.00 for him coming from FL. and adding in Spare Tank, Rear pass. pegs, spare exhaust, stock faring stay, Headlight, Taillight, Frame Sliders, etc....WTF... .Anyway I have pic below, you be the judge....
Bike still up for sale and price is still 5499.00 ....If price is an issue, please do not attempt to bargain. There are several bikes below this price, waste their time and not mine. I will not negotiate this price becasue I am already below market value. Thanks!

and also, I have not and will not take spray paint to the "scratches" because that would indeed be intentially misleading. If the buyer wants to then so be it. So the above pic is the bike as it is right now!

I have talked to you a few times about this bike. I agree it is a good deal, he probably wanted to put it back on the street, or flip it to make a profit.
You have a great bike for a good price to use as a track bike or street rider. Maybe not a great resell for a profit bike.
Good luck with the sale.

Are you kidding me?????? lets post up the rest of the frame and swingarm pics bro. Obviously if i was driving from Florida you didn't even have half the decentsy to give me a FULL report on the bike before i drove 500 miles to see it, other than constantly assuring me it was in 'good' conditon....
I got news for you bro, your frame is TOTALED. SCRATCHES on a black frame = total loss. Lets post up some pics of the engine covers, both of them. And the completely trashed 'extra' bodywork you were going to 'give' me(Especially the tank). Or the completely shot track tires you were gonna throw in. I've seen in front of my eyes CLASSICALY gsxr 1k's snapped at the very same welds pictured in the post above me over them smacking the garvel more than a couple times. I never said i didn't feel 'safe', i'm just not dumb enough to buy a bike that has a way HIGHER likely a chance to actually crack or snap since the abuse its been put through, after you've informed me of how many times the bike actually did go down.
I mean, i was being a decent guy buy informing everyone of the 1/4 of the damage you posted before. But how am I in the wrong when you've apparently had half a dozen other people come out and LOOK at the bike, but even you told me not one of them picked the bike up??????? Theres obviously ALOT more things wrong than the bike that what you've described in your original post? or were the rest of the people just shooting the shit with you?
Your bike rides OK. But again i seriously think you need to post pictures of the rest of your ride.
And if i remember correctly, not once did i ask you to go down on the price. Or are you putting words in my mouth?
Obviously the guy whom you bought the bike from is a bigger man, if HE put pictures of the frame explaining the damage when he sold the bike to you, but obviously YOU used the same exact picture he sent you and didn't even upload untill the issue was brought to hand.
Tell me how a join date has anything to do with being LEGIT. because obviously your not.

Im not going to get into a pissing match with you, so I will say this and leave it alone. Again, i have been doing this for a while and never had a issue. Your join date doesnt have anything to do with you being legit it just shows that you are "new" to this and a bit elementary. Everyone who has been on this forum know that unless the bike is new off the showroom floor then its going to have scratches, rockchips in paint, etc.... If you sling your foot over your bike enough you will kick the tail sections a few times but would i consider my tail damaged NO. If it makes you feel better here goes, TO ALL: My bike has scratches on the frame/ case cover/ Frame Slider, wheels from having the tires changed, The bike is also fully safety wired, so again it has holes where they shouldnt be, scratches on the windscreen from a damn bubblebee, scratches on the inside of the engine where piston goes up and down while bike is on. Seriously, give me a break. :Puke:
Oh and by the way, the tires on the bike below are the tires i am giving away with the bike... I said originally, they are used STREET tires. Take a look at my "shot" tires while you are looking at my TOTALED frame below:
Bike in original form, no stickers, I decaled it to death about 2 weeks after purchase ...

Those scratches look typical for any bike that's slid through the gravel trap and are obviously only cosmetic.
The only reason ins co's total those bike is most franchised dealers can't touch them up to the customers satisfaction.
Colorite has the correct Suz frame touch up paint if you want to fix it.
I'll take it for the above described deal..........................

Klutchitup: I can see you being a little dissapointed if there were a few more scratches than you wanted, but it is a track bike man, and if you wanted to make it into a street bike to flip it you probably should've looked elsewere, and if you just wanted to track/race it, then you shouldn't have cared. I was kind of on your side at first, but you proved you were an idiot with the "totaled frame" comments.
I own a small motorcycle bodyshop and do insurrance estimates and work with adjusters all the time on wrecked bikes. Everything from Rotch Krockets to Harley's and customs and even '05/'06 GSXR 1000's. The only reason insurance company's would "total" a bike because of a scratch on the frame is because of the difficulty in cosmetically fixxing it to the customer satisfaction. The scratch in the frame by itself is not something that warrants totaling a bike at all, it is just usually the straw that breaks the camel's back. If you ever had just frame damage alone, then it definately wouldn't total the bike.
For example, if you have a newwer GSXR 1k, worth $7000 - $9000 and you lowside it at 20mph in some gravel...then you probably scuff up one side. In order to fix it to "as new" standards, you'd probably have to replace the left mid + lower fairings, the left tail section, the upper, the left rearset, the left clip-on, and maybee an engine case. With shop labor included, that brings the cost to around $2k or so...and then if you have a scratch on the frame, that'd probably cost $3500ish (including labor to take it apart) more to cosmetically fix it to the point you could never tell (which can definately be done, i've done it a bunch of times for customers and dealerships). That brings the total to around $5500. An insurrance company will total it at this point because they can stroke you a $7000 check for the bike, and then re-sell it an a salvage auction for $3500...meaning the whole deal only cost them $3500, so it is a much better deal for them than cutting a check for $5500.
When dealing with more expensive bikes, such as American Ironhorse and Big Dog, we always fix the scratches on the frame, because it is far cheaper to do than totalling a $30k bike. You can just take the bike apart, re-paint or powdercoat the frame and put the bike back together with a few new bolt-ons. I have even touched up paint and powdercoat on the frames with the frames still on the bikes and gotten it to the point of flawless for under $500 at times, so good thing you weren't the insurrance adjuster or those would have been totaled too huh?
I hope that educates you on why your logic in calling this bike "totaled" is completely retarded. The only way that could ever come into play is if an insurrance company were paying to have that entire bike brought back to "show room clean", and being as though you are buying it without any street parts at all thats not even possible. By your own logic, you knew the bike was totaled before you got there, so why are u surprised? If the only thing you care about is insurrance standards, a bike with no stock bodywork, controls ect is already totaled because of the cost to buy it new from a dealership, and dealer labor to install all the parts.
And as far as the safety, a few lowsides in the gravel that don't even scratch into the metal hurts that frame about as much as strong breeze. You can inspect the welds, neck, and the rest of the bike to find any serious or compromissing damage. If you didn't like or want the bike because you don't know bikes well enough to assess the damage and just wanted to be smart and play it safe then thats fine, but don't come on here and bash this guy with stuff you don't understand. I mean seriously, you were offered a clean title '05/'06 GSXR 1k with a few spares for $5100...how clean were you really expecting it be?
