This is the same bike I've had listed for a while, but it seems I've got to lower my price to make the sale to someone so I am now offering it for $5500. In addition, I'm adding a spare pair of Marchesinis with brake rotors to the deal. Got a fairly recent BMW GS you want to trade? let's talk.
So here's the schpiel again:
Well kept, well prepared, great condition. Outrageous parts list, runs strong, needs nothing. Engine built 2006 by Evan Steel Performance, 5 weekends on it in 2007 season. I love this bike; I simply can't afford to race anymore. additional pix on request. The bike has a clean title.
Bike is in Santa Fe. You ship it, but I will help in terms of working with the shipper, delivering it within reasonable distance, packing, etc.

What year SV is this? What weight rider is this set up for? Do you have any other pics? Says bike is in Santa Fe, assuming New Mexico.

The bike is in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
It's a 2001.
I am 175lbs + gear, and was able to get the sag numbers I wanted out of it with the springs it had when I bought it. The prior owner was a bit heavier.
Here are some more images, let me know if there's something you particularly want to see.

You and me both, but it's one of the hazards of living a long way away from the rest of the country. I think most folks are more comfortable buying a bike they can go look at in person. Anyone who takes the leap of faith and buys this one will be happy when it gets delivered, I promise you!

I really would buy this bike if it were closer to alabama, and the weight numbers could be verified. I bet i could win back a decent chunk of the money spent on the bike if i just rode Solo 20's with it :)

Well, what would you like me to do to 'verify' the weight numbers?
Forward Air will be happy to get it closer to Alabama.

That is an awesome bike for an awesome price. To the dude who says he can win most of the cost of the bike back, what's another $500 to have it delivered??? Shit man, I can see why you can't afford to race anymore, you spent all your $ on the bike!

OK, to address the question of whether the bike really is as light as I say it is, I weighed it again this AM to be sure I hadn't made some sort of embarrassing math error or something. It came out 8 lbs heavier, which I attribute to it's having a different fairing and a bigger radiator than when I weighed it the first time. The bigger radiator also has a sizeable catch tank, which the first set-up did not have. The bike has coolant and oil in it, but no fuel. The battery is on board. Also, I am using a bathroom scale, so it's not going to be ounce perfect.
The method was this: I put the bike up on front and rear stands. The tires are just slightly higher than the scale at both ends. One end at a time, I slip the scale under the tire, and set the bike down on it by removing the stand from that end. Since the other end is still up on a stand, the bike is nearly level. After repeating the process at both ends, I came out with 158lbs front and 135 rear for a total of 293lbs. Since 100% of the bike's weight has to reach the ground through the contact patches, and the attitude of the bike is extremely close to level, I can not see a problem with this method of weighing the bike.
As for "verification", I am attaching pictures of the process. I can only attach three pix at a time, so I'll just show the scale readings and one shot of the process.

It's my fault, but I'm going to do my best to put it to good use...Stephen is a class act, we talked, he's a man of his word, and I got the check there...Now I just have to get the bike here...
...and he always has right of first refusal if he decides he wants it back and I get tired of fighting those pesky fast youngsters off...

depends what club you race with. definitely not Super Stock though!
Light Weight Super Bike, Lightweight Twins (Twins GTU), Lightweight GP, AHRMA BOT (I forget which classification), Lightweight solo endurance . . . Check your rule book.
