GSX-R 750 Dedicated Track Bike - 2001
Fully decked out with everything needed and ready
for the track. I used this bike for the last 3
years and it's worked flawlessly every time I hit
the start button. One of the reasons for this is
that the engine configuration is 100% stock so
the bike has only been doing what it's built to
do... no extra stress on the engine from mods.
I put the money in the other areas that make a
track bike so much better than a standard road
bike. Plus there's only 5,200 miles on the bike
in total (I bought this one used but VERY clean).
Take a look at all the cool stuff you get:
>> Slipper Clutch by Yoyodyne – Once you have
a slipper clutch like this one, you'll never
ride without one. Eliminates 100% of the rear
wheel hop on down shifts... so sweet, makes
every corner entry so much easier that you'll
drop a couple seconds per lap for sure!
(retail $750)
>> Ohlins – Rear shock (high end shock...
retails for $1,500) – Set up for a 190 lb
advanced rider.
>> Ohlins – Fork replacement kit (uses
the stock tubes... retails for $700)
>> Engine cover – Woodcraft (retail $179)
>> Rear set foot peg set w/pedals – Woodcraft (retail $329)
>> Steering damper – (retail $200)
>> Sprocket and chain set - improved gear ratios
for the track and lighter weight (retail $279)
>> Clip on handle bars – (retail $200)
>> Vesrah brake pads – (retail $90)
>> Steel braided front brake lines – (retail $185)
>> Racing body work – (retail $650)
>> Aluminum Fairing bracket – Lighter weight
than stock (retail $145)
>> Safety Wired – Even though you may not race
(I don't), safety wire is a really smart thing
to do. I just saved you from hours of work
and about a dozen drill bits.
>> Clear Title
Once you add in the labor costs to install all
of these parts, the price of the bike is FREE...
this is truly an amazing deal for the person
that grabs this bike first.
...And here are some cool BONUSES for anyone
that pays a reasonable price for the bike
(these items are not included with the bike
but I'll throw them in if we cut a good deal
together)
>> Power Commander – Brand new but not installed (retail $329)
>> Quick shifter kit – Brand new but not
installed, GP shift – (retail $189)
>> XT Lap Timer – (retail $179)
That's a total of $5,904 in parts alone...
now add in the labor and you can see the
aftermarket parts alone are worth well over
$10,000 ... then add the bike in and you're
looking at $15,000 if you were to set the
bike up yourself.
Why am I selling a decked out track day bike?
Because I'm upgrading to a 2007 brand new
track bike with all the bells and whistles
i.e. GPS data acquisition and track mapping,
traction control, etc. Of course I don't need
to upgrade but since I'm already 45, I
figured I better do it now before I'm too old
to ride. (You can see a picture of my new
bike under the Parts for Sale section)
Matt Drucker of MDRacing www.mdracingstp.com
has both of my bikes so I do not have a
picture of the 2001 with me but I will tell
you the bad stuff (because it's really not
that bad). I'll try digging up a photo of
the bike and will post it if I find one.
You can also call Matt and ask him his
unbiased opinion of the bike: 309-526-3246
... BUT PLEASE... do not call Matt just to
chat... he's a really busy guy right now.
Only call Matt if you've already spoken to
me and are 99.999% ready to buy and just
need to hear from an unbiased 3rd party
that the bike is just as I describe.
If you're talking to Matt for more than
30 seconds, you're talking too long! And
if you do buy the bike... have Matt
install the Power Commander for you and
dyno tune the bike for even more power.
Call me 1st to hear about the bike...
I have time to talk to you: >> 224-436-0727 <<
The bad parts:
>> Dented gas tank – small dent on top
from a crash (not my fault of course... LOL)
>> Cracked tachometer lens
>> Paint job is rattle can only – No
point tempting fate with a custom paint job
>> Wind screen is scratched – I bought
it used that way.
>> Right air scoop is cracked – Been that
way for a long time ... fixed with duct tape.
But no matter what ... if you don't LOVE
this bike after seeing it, you don't pay
for it ... no questions asked!
This is a 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED
deal for you. The price is so low that
there will be a buyer right behind you if
you change your mind.
Take this home today, and take it right
to the track tomorrow and have a great time.
Price – Only $4,300 (I want to move it
fast so I priced it really low)
Located in Vernon Hills, IL (but in Orion
IL temporarily) Delivery is negotiable
and not included.
