just to let you know that mirror finish is either Chrome or polished metal under the translucent powder coat. I also have someone down here in Tampa that did all of my powdercoating .I have lots of pics of the past 2 bikes that i built with his product

the suzuki wheel is just blasted and powder, but the red was for sure a polished or chrome wheel before powderyeah i noticed that the aftermarket wheel has a lot higher luster/smooth finish. the site i got these from "said" they plate each wheel before doing the powder, but the blue wheel is not as good.

well i have a set of 04 r1 wheels from my friends bike, i can check with him if he would do a swap, but ya one way or another they would have to make it up here, but if he will swap, then its only 1 way shipping. I will have to find out the cost on the powder from my guy, but did you want them plated/polished before the coating or just in the translucent powder??
obv its a huge cost diff from one to the other.......
what did they quote you for the wheels ??

Call Powder and Performance Coatings. They are an absolutely top notch coating shop. They do all my powdercoat work for me on custom choppers and show bikes ect. They are as meticulous and anal about perfection as I have ever seen, esp with translucent powders and special effects. They have been featured on "biker build off" on discovery channel and tons of bike magazines...and for all that quality their prices are still really good.
If you call "411" and ask for "Powder and Performance Coatings" in Richmond, VA i'm sure you'll get connected...
