many of you have been to jennings but if you havnt it is truely a first rate rider's track

no, its not pretty like barber BUT its clean, cheap and lets you camp for free, has power to most pits and showers and such. Hell if you walk your lazzy but up to the shower building you'll notice open wifi even...

JGP is a great track and you just cant beat the people there. This event though is going to be a private track day at Jennings that some friends of mine are putting on. You will get all the stuff listed above and!!!!! You will be among the first to have the opportunity to ride the track backwards!!!! Jennings has in the works plans to bea able to run the track in both directions and they are discussing pushing some of the runoff back to allow us to do this. We have been told that at this track day we will be allowed to do a lead follow session to orient everyone on the track. Let me tell you, I have been told that this track is probably 15-20 mph faster backwards because of the 3,4,5 section opening up to a long straight, through the kink in 2 and then into T1. Should be a blast.

Are you sure about the CW direction. Paul told me last week that they wouldn't have the needed safety items complete until late in 08. Sure would be great of it's all done early.

He also said that they are completely re-wiring the electric system and it'll be tip-top for the new year.

they have had people run it backwards before. in fact, i have seen a bunch of private rentals run it backwards..but only when there was like 5 people. perry melnichek (i think thats his name) comes to mind. I have seen him do it backwards a few times.

We talked to Paul and Borg about it this past weekend.

As far as people in the past, they may have run it but I believe it would have been without the consent of the track. The safety issues have not been in place, nor do they have a corner marshal yet.

i dont see how this can be.
i would think you would be carrying more speed out of turn 1 that you would through 3,4,5 since you're coming from 8&7 which are tight, 6 and 5 are slower than 1 is and then you work through 3 and 4...

Hey Duane, you going all 3 days? I am considering Sun and/or Mon.

I was wondering how much time will be devoted to the reverse course. If I go it will be to learn the track for the upcoming WERA regional and I really have no need to spend time in the direction that is not raced.

Good question. This is an orientation ride only, not at any high speed. It will be a, moderate paced, lead follow session just to give people a look at the track backwards. We're looking at 1/2 an hour or so near the end of the day after the last regular session. It's extremely wicked.....slow or fast!!!

That sounds like a good plan. Thanks for the response.
