View Full Version : RaceBodyWork question: What are these things called? Frame Spacer/Bobbin Plugs?

I've mounted some HotBodies race bodywork on my 07 GSXR 600 and want to finish it right. On the stock bodywork there are a few points that are attached using plastic pointy things that plug into rubber grommets. When installing race fairings is there something that we can get somewhere (where?) that has a bolt head on one end and a point plastic thing on the other so that rubber hole mounting point can be used?

I'm using an improvised bolt with a coupla nuts on the end which works fine but would rather do it right and make it more tidy. What do the big teams do here?

Thanks!

I thought with hotbodies you only need to attach at the front upper fairing stay and at the rear of the lower.

Yeah, I've done that, it's fine, but was just lookin' for the maximum fit. Thanks though...

use 1/4 -20 well nuts . they slide in the factory holes & spread when you tighten them

NICE!

THAT'S what I'm talkin' about... Ingenuity.

Thanks.
